We love Leizu Fingering by Julie Asselin! Not only is it dyed and spun in Canada, Julie’s colourways are always perfect, and the 90% superwash merino / 10% silk blend makes it ideal for a huge range of projects. The name for this yarn is inspired by Leizu, a legendary Chinese empress who, according to legend, discovered silk and sericulture when a silk worm’s cocoon fell into her tea.
Check our Leizu DK and Leizu Worsted for thicker versions of the same yarn.
Because it’s a hand dyed yarn, we recommend that you buy enough for your project - we may not be able to get the same colour, and there are no dye lots.
