This beautiful wooden tool is used to provide a surface for mending of socks and other knitted fabrics. Shaped in the traditional form of either an egg or a mushroom, but absolutely unique in character, each darning egg is lovingly hand-turned from one piece by local woodworking enthusiast Wade Young (Jung WorkShop). 

Each piece is finished with a natural oil and wax finish.
