What the class will teach:

- fundamentals of 2-colour double knitting - creating a two-sided reversible colour-work fabric

- double knitting cast-on techniques and bind-offs

- how to work with colour charts in double knitting 

- working with two colours of yarn at once

Requirements:

- knit, purl, long-tail cast-on. Knowledge of basic increases and decreases would be helpful for some advanced techniques.

Material requirements:

- bulky, chunky or worsted weight yarn in two CONTRASTING colours. Thick superwash or high-twist yarn will be easier to start with than a yarn that easily splits.

- 24" circular needle 2-3 sizes lower than recommended for your yarn (eg. Chunk yarn recommending US10 needle, you will need a US7-8 needle for the class)

- tapestry needle
