Peace Fleece is an incredible yarn with a long history. Founded during the Cold War by two Americans, it began with a simple idea: if wool from these two nations could be spun together, perhaps conflicts could be lessened and two historic enemies could learn to come together - their motto was even “Warm wool from a Cold War!”
Today, Peace Fleece still sources much of the wool in their yarn from the Navajo Nation, and it is spun by Harrisville Yarn in North Carolina. We're enormously thrilled to have Peace Fleece back in stock. Garments knit from Peace Fleece are lightweight, cozy, and carry a beautiful depth of colour.
