Amigurumi Workshop: Gnome
An ideal project for graduates of our Beginner Crochet class who are looking to complete a crocheted cutie in a relatively short period of time.
If you want to learn how to crochet amigurumi then this is the perfect project with which to start! Even if you haven’t always wanted to make a gnome (and who hasn’t?!) this is also a terrific class for inexperienced crocheters who want to practice single crochet.
You will learn to start a project in the round using a magic ring (instead of the dreaded foundation chain!) which is also used in many hat, shawl and granny square designs. In addition, you will learn how to sew together pieces of amigurumi, and how to stuff your toys just right.
Materials Included: Yarn in three colours, stuffing and 9mm safety eyes.
Tools Required: 3.75mm hook, tapestry needle, scissors, and one locking stitch marker
Experience Required: Must be able to comfortably single crochet. (Ideally have taken either Beginner crochet or had a private lesson)
Instructor: Deanne Shoyer
