If you’re come to HKY to shop please don’t forget your mask - we’re still requiring all in-person shoppers to wear a mask. 

Why? We’re a small team and if one (or more) of us becomes ill, HKY won’t be able to open at all. This means no yarn for you — but it also severely affects the ability to run our business (and our livelihoods!). For everyone’s health and safety (and stash), we’re going to continue masking at this time.

If you forget your mask, don’t worry - we have some! If you can’t wear a mask, we can help you at the door where there’s plenty of fresh air. Thanks for your patience!

For customers who cannot visit the shop, our ONLINE SHOP IS ALWAYS OPEN. Online orders are fulfilled daily for pickup, local delivery, or shipping.

CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Due to the ongoing pandemic, our Classes & Workshops continue to be cancelled for the foreseeable future. Due to the very close and personal nature of knitting, we are NOT offering any one-on-one classes, workshops, or knitting help, even if masked. Handknit staff will consider reintroducing Classes & Workshops when it is safe to do so. There is no guarantee this will occur as the situation is ever changing and evolving.

Our Classes & Workshops were a great way to meet new people, learn new skills together and share our making experience. We really miss these opportunities and interactions! In the meantime we'd love to share our favourite learning resources, websites, videos with you to keep you moving forward in your making experience - you can find this page in our navigation bar under ‘Learning Resources.’
