For the ultimate in affordable luxury knitting fibres, we like to suggest people try using silk!  Tussah Tweed is a 100% tussah silk fingering weight yarn - tussah silk is known for its strength and rich golden hue and is also humanely harvested from wild silk months.

Tussah Tweed is, as the name suggests, a tweedy yarn flecked with small colourful neps, giving your finished garment, shawl or accessory a wonderful depth. Tussah Tweed is wonderful for knitting, but we also like it for machine knitting, weaving, embroidery, and lace. When blocking, always use a detergent suitable for silks and/or use a little vinegar in the rinse water.
